Flate - 3D Typeface
Flate is a 3D typeface I built by hand in Nomad Sculpt. Each letter was drawn, then inflated into a dimensional form. Bold, rounded, and ready to use in your own 3D projects.
What you get
Full alphabet (A-Z), numbers, and basic punctuation. Each character is a separate 3D object you can import, arrange, and customize.
Included formats:
- .nom (Nomad Sculpt project file, original)
- .glb and .obj (for Blender, Cinema 4D, or any 3D software)
- .otf font file (for 2D use in design apps)
- .png of each letter (transparent background)
How to use it
Import the .nom file into Nomad Sculpt. Each letter is a separate object in the scene. Pick the letters you need, arrange them into words, apply your own materials and lighting.
For other 3D apps, use the .glb or .obj files. Materials transfer with .glb. For .obj you'll need to re-apply materials in your target app.
Why a 3D typeface?
Building letters from scratch in Nomad Sculpt takes time. Flate gives you a starting point. Import the letters, customize the materials, set up your lighting, render. Skip the modeling, focus on the visual.
I use Flate in my own typography projects when I want a clean, inflated look without building each letter from zero.
